The KRK12s 12" 200W Front-Firing Active Subwoofer from KRK is an ideal companion for compact active studio monitor speakers, allowing you to extend the low frequency response of your monitoring setup. The subwoofer has a lightweight 12" Kevlar driver that has a high level of strength for dynamic low frequency performance. The front-firing port helps to extend bass frequencies while minimizing compression and turbulence. The enclosure has a curved baffle that reduces diffraction and distortion. A metal grille protects the driver from accidental damage.
The sub has an internal amplifier that provides 200W of power for a strong, low-distortion performance and excellent efficiency. The rear panel offers stereo XLR/TRS combo inputs, as well as stereo RCA inputs and an LFE input. There are also stereo XLR and RCA outputs, providing wide compatibility with a variety of sound systems and devices. There is also a 1/4" footswitch bypass jack, which allows you to easily mute the sub, so you can hear your mix with and without bass reinforcement to get an accurate image of how your work will sound when played back on a variety of sound systems.
The KRK12s also offers an 80Hz fixed high pass filter, an adjustable 55-170Hz low pass filter, an input sensitivity control, a phase adjustment control, and a 0/180° polarity switch, allowing you to match the sub's performance to your full-range system. Other features include a switchable limiter and a ground-lift switch, as well as thermal and overload/clip protection for lasting reliability.
